I submitted this image for a photo contest for the company Dreams who creates these little figurines called Sonny Angels. The winners were awarded a rare Sonny Angel and their entries featured in the annual Sonny Angel photobook. The prompt was pretty simple: just include a Sonny Angel in any context or environment. And make it cute!

Process:

The actual piece that I created was the little outfit on the strawberry Sonny Angel. I created my own crochet pattern and had to microcrochet with a super tiny hook to take embroidery thread and turn it into a miniature piece of clothing.

Tools:

I used Pinterest for inspiration! I was very much inspired by the clothes of the character Strawberry Shortcake. The materials I used were embroidery thread and a crochet hook with a fine tip.

Challenges:

The limitations I faced is that sometimes my crochet rounds were not even or would not match up to each other. I kind of pulled the whole piece together by eyeballing where to place certain stitches, but I think it turned out nice in the end!
